Food insecurity is real and it exists in Audrain County. With your support, the Help Center is able to instill hope and a sense of security for families and individuals, knowing that they can have food on the table and not have to do without other basic necessities to do so. We distribute supplemental food every Wednesday from 9 am-12 pm and every Friday 3 pm-6 pm at 409 Fairground St., Mexico, MO. 65265
On the third Thursday of each month we distribute food in Vandalia from 11 am-2 pm, at the First Baptist Church multi-purpose building, 111 S. Main, Vandalia.

Each household is eligible to participate in our supplemental food distributions once per month, at any one of these distributions. Eligibility for Feeding America provided food is, that you need food. You will need to bring proof of residency in Audrain County, a current Missouri picture ID, and have completed our application stating household income and members.
No one will ever be turned away and their privacy is always respected and protected. We believe every single person has the right to dignity and respect and be able to have food.
COVID 19 changes: As fall and winter approach and COVID-19 shows no signs of relenting and with flu season adding additional layers of concern, we continue to distribute all supplemental food via our curbside distribution method. On distribution days, you will be directed to the rear of our building, where we will gather your information and then verify in our system. We will then bring the food to your vehicle and load it for you. we ask that you do not leave your vehicle please. Please make sure that your trunk or cargo area is empty so that we can load your food in the most efficient manner possible. Please leave additional passengers at home. Our volunteers will practice social distancing and wear protective gear.
New applicants are always welcome, all you'll need is your MO. picture ID and we'll complete the Food Bank application for you, and you'll receive supplemental food the same day.
We also provide TEFAP (USDA) funded food and the eligibility for this food is that you meet the income guideline of 125% of the Federal Poverty guideline.
